Spotlight: James Espinoza

Our first installment in a series on the work and achievements of College of the Sequoia faculty honors James Espinoza, English professor, long-time partner in the COS Puente Project, and a leading voice for student equity and success. Not just an innovative and insightful colleague, "Mr. E" is much loved by students for his devotion to them as well as his engaging demeanor. A tireless supporter of students most "at-risk," James recently co-organized the 2017 Immigration Conference at COS and spearheaded information on DACA workshops. For his "work, dedication, and active commitment," James will be presented the Ethnic Minority Leadership Award by the Tulare-Kings Service Center Council at their annual Human Rights Dinner November 30, 2017.
